Practice History

Elder law is a very broad area that continues to expand as our population ages and community resources stretch.

We focus our time and attention to specific issues like: qualifying for nursing home Medicaid without spending down all your assets; qualifying for the Aid & Attendance benefit for veterans over 65 who need assisted care; preparing asset protection trusts, special needs trusts, and living trusts as part of a long term care strategy; preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney, Transfer on Death Deeds and Lady Bird Deeds; representing executors and administrators of estates in the court system; and protecting asset lines and businesses with member or trust-owned Series LLC’s.

Robert is the founder of Bazemore Law Firm PLLC. He holds a degree in business administration from LeTourneau University and a doctorate degree in law from South Texas College of Law – Houston. He is accredited by the Veterans Administration and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Elder Counsel, the State Bar of Texas – Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section, Elder Law Answers, and multiple other relevant associations. He was awarded a Presidential Management Fellowship in Washington, D.C. after law school.

Prior to law practice, Robert spent two decades in healthcare as a practitioner and owner of a neuromuscular rehabilitation clinic, a clinical nutrition practice, a physical fitness studio, and the first Texas corporate on-site physical therapy, chiropractic and telemedicine practice on 27 major corporation campuses.
